DescriptionSleep problems are so common that it might be said that they are part of the normal human condition. Most people will experience sleep paralysis - waking up and finding that they are paralysed and unable to move - sometime in their lives. These experiences can be associated with other fascinating or frightening sensations and may be the basis of some folklore stories. This category deals with this phenomenon but also notes that sometimes sleep paralysis may reflect a daytime disorder as well.
